WORKINGA corona in three layers: a molten core dissolving at a turbulent rim, streamers thrown off it, and shock rings expanding outward.
The first version was a circle with noise added to its radius, which slides sideways and reads as a wobble rather than a burn. Sampling the noise in polar coordinates — angle on one axis, radius on the other — makes the turbulence wrap the rim instead of translating across it.
